7 Day Technology Detox
So many of us understand the need to unplug and be more present in our lives, yet still struggle to do it! This is why I’ve created the 7 Day Technology Detox. I’ve asked some of my closest blogger friends to guest post here each day for the next seven days sharing encouragement, their experiences while taking the detox, and advice.
Are you ready to take the Technology Detox?
Day 1 – Write out ON PAPER (gasp) appropriate boundaries before you touch your phone again. How much time is appropriate? Well, I’ve read that 2 hours a DAY is the right amount of screen time for adults. However, as a blogger and business owner, I feel like that is not enough. So write out what makes sense for you.
Day 2 – Don’t bring any device into the bathroom. We all do it, but do we really NEED our phones?
Day 3 – Delete ALL social media apps from your phone (don’t worry you can re-install them again). After the detox I recommend putting them back on your phone one at a time, a day at a time, this way you will see which ones you really want and need!
Day 4 – Take pictures with a REAL camera today!
Day 5 – Call someone you were thinking about texting.
Day 6 – Go cold turkey and spend the entire day free of your phone, computer, and TV. I hear it can be done, so lets do it together!
