10 Sweet Experiments – Fun Candy Science

For the month of October I’ll be sharing 10 science experiments you can do with your kids every Saturday for a total of 50 experiments!!! Up this week is “Candy Science”.
Have too much candy after trick or treating? Try doing Science Experiments with the Candy!
If you’re like me, you don’t let your kiddos have too much candy. In fact, for Halloween every year we have our son give away almost all his candy to other trick or treaters. It teaches him to be kind and generous at the same time, and also gets rid of the ridiculous the amount of candy kids get on Halloween. This year we are going to be doing more of these awesome candy science experiments with the treats we get!
Easy Candy Science Experiments
You need very little to do most of these experiments, they are easy, and fun to do with kids! Plus, you can do them all indoors which is important this time of year living in the U.P. or in any cold climate (if you live somewhere warm you could easily add Mentos and diet Coke to your list as that’s always a crowd pleaser)! You can create your own lighting, learn about optical illusions, chemical reactions, density and so much more! Check out the video below for details about each experiment!

Best Science Candy Experiment?
My husband and I found the Mint Lightning really cool, while my son thought Skittles Rainbow was awesome. And we all loved making Fizzy Dip. Fizzy Dip is a sweet and sour dip that creates a chemical reaction in your mouth! Plus, it’s super easy to make! Check out next weeks experiments!
